Rest up.

Do not fret over what you see,

Do not fear the size of the storm,

Though thunder may make its presence known,

And the flame of hope dwindles,

The shadows lurk throughout the air,

The uncertainty of what’s in store,

Battles to fight, life’s war,

Yearning for something more,

The grief from yesterday’s toil,

Carried to the fears of tomorrow’s work,

Sorrow looming like a storm cloud,

As doubt then comes to lurk.

The downpour of the rainfall,

The despair of the heavens sorrow,

The mistakes of yesterday creeping,

The anxiety of tomorrow.

Do not fret over what you see,

Do not fear the size of the storm,

Place your load aside and come inside to rest,

For restless minds and anxious hearts have no hope to be blest,

As a rejuvenation from the storm after the downpour of the rain,

As the desolation of the earth revived after years of strife and pain,

So the assurance from a period of rested length,

To soften your calloused heart, to regain your strength!
