Bless our grandmas' they are special

of this there is no doubt

they are loving, kind, and caring

even if you pout

They take care of us

if we are sick

and bandage our knees

when we've had a slip

Through tear drops and pain

with laughter and love

Like a warm safe haven

complete with a hug

The hugs of a grandma

are powerful its true

they banish all fears

and work well on Boo Hoos

The holidays and vacations

are memories that I love

Rainy days spent reading

and playing in the sun

of our grandma's home cooking

I could go on forever

suffice it to say

these are memories I savor

So cherish your grandma

because you never know

when god might need a hug

and want to call her home. R.S.M.
