Reflection VII— The Weight Of Hope

A quiet reflection on how hope and doubt often live side by side.

By Lenn MarcusPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Hope…

Is it a lie we tell ourselves?

A dream wished for?

And doubt, the truth,

the one we never want to hear.

If hope hides doubt,

and doubt breaks hope,

then is it wiser

to hope and hurt,

or to doubt and regret?

Author’s Note:

Wrote this while reflecting on how easily hope and doubt intertwine — two opposites that somehow share the same space in our hearts.

Sometimes, hope feels like bravery. Other times, like denial.

But maybe both are just ways we learn to keep moving.
