A WARMING SEA CHANTY

sailor song

By Tom DemarPublished about 7 hours ago Updated about 7 hours ago 1 min read

After a beer

We play by ear

And shift gear

To steer

To the rear

And veer to a pier

Near here.

But what did appear

Were mere planks and we fear

The pier

Did disappear.

Oh dear.

How quar

Things are.

Worse than the sand bar,

Our battle spar scar mar,

Or the storms that jar,

Send us far

With no guiding star.

We'll always be

At sea,

No where to be

To dock to see

Anyone lovely

To set us free.

Gee.

That's why sing we

A Warming Sea

Chanty.

No one to call

To change it all.
