strip me down to bare

at first I'm clear as glass

you can see right through me

on your first and second pass

peer a little closer dear

pierce me with your light

I'll peel the layers all apart

teach color how to fly

purple heavy anger, rage as white as snow

glory all in green to teach my soul to grow

love is deepest ebony, red's darkest saturation

the pigments layered on and on in years of maturation

golden yellow sparks

of laughter in the dark

you illuminate

all the colors of my heart

I am blue and endless sea

lavender in calm

my hands create, and teach and heal,

honey amber balm

you can know me in a moment

and yet...

just move the light a little dear

I'm multifaceted
