Veer away from what is false. Please. I beg you.

Over the vacuous empty scripts that swamp

Clamour the voices of the ordinary,

Advancing coyly their hard sought words, urging

Leap, creations! And prosper in fertile ground!

This is an entry for D.K. Shepard's Unofficial challenge which you should read about here:

But if you haven't visited her page before, you should as she is an excellent writer whose works are varied but also extremely well-written, evoking emotion, vision, pathos and excitement. She is a great poet and storyteller.

Excellent acrostic! I’m having extreme difficulty coming up with something sensible (what a surprise).😳

That was all concentrated entreaty. I felt the words punch above their weight class. Glad you wrote this! (And Vocal better be damned glad too 😁)

Love the loftiness of this and what an excellent call to action! Phrased to perfection!

  • They live! They live! They're alive!

Cast out the evil spirits of AI one and all! I love the earth magic dancing at the edge of this poem, Rachel. I can imagine chanting it like a spell or a charm or better yet an exorcism. Vocal was created for creators not poseurs. Out damn spot!

Love that you’ve managed to put AI in its place in such a beautiful way!

Ah Vocal! Got it. An acrostic. Makes perfect sense now! 😅😆 Yet I did respect the message and I always love it when it doesn’t ‘feel acrostic’. 😊

Like Shaun, I think it it feels Shakespearean in your approach and the flow. Fiery words and fiery imagery! Well done, lass!

Oooh I will have to go and check it out!

My brain reads this in a Shakespearean cadence, shouting so the balcony can hear. Great job!

Well-wrought! I hope the robots go back to the corporate office and get out of the art space...

  • Great image and great words and Vocal still won't let me publish on this account. They say they are sorry but want me to keep paying

This is great. That cover photo is **fire** 😉. I'm still working on my acrostic for this but, naturally, I'm trying to do something amusing. ⚡Bill 💙⚡

  • Empty scripts that swamp. That's exactly what they do. Loved your take on this challenge!
