patched up teddy bears (i promise you will)
to my younger self (this is a hard one) | for the Love in 50 words Challenge

i found you on the sidewalk
eviscerated
tossed in grime
(the culprit was you)
tears pricked my eyes
because no one should be left this way
so i took you home
washed away the dirt
and patched you
with a promise
this hate won't be forever
love will come again

Hope is eternal. Love it! ⚡💙⚡
Creative spin on this challenge. I agree with DK there is a rawness and a tenderness in this poem, that everyone of us can relate to in some form or another. Great Job!!1
There’s both a rawness and tenderness to this that’s just flooring! Very well done, Alexandria!
