I want to paint the ceiling
in my bathroom, want to
turn it into an azure sky
to gaze at in my bath, where
the whole world melts
into sound and color,
the soft light of my candles
glowing into my rocks,
smoke from my incense
curling into invisible scent.
Sometimes I put my lapis
in my mouth, the cool blue
warming on my tongue,
the thin edge resting on my lips,
like a kiss
from the underbelly of the earth,
elemental cobalt and a ribbon
of gold making love to my mouth
as I gently open my third
eye with a slender obelisk
of rose quartz between
my breasts, reclining
over my heart, the carnelian heart-
shaped stone stuttering energy
into my root chakra.
