I was sitting there waiting but nothing was happening
I thought there would have been something
It was just silence all around
No response
Empty stillness
Deafening emptiness
Still I wondered if there would ever be a reply
Seemed like I was doing all the talking
Nothing else left to say
But I don't think the concerns will go away
May as well get on with the rest of the day
Hoping for some answers but nothing came to be
I continued to plea
I wish you could see
Wondering about the depth of such a decree
That maybe it was only me
Just an observation
This was a one sided conversation
