Love in a black and white world

If I could paint the world over,

I would paint everything I see,

With a rainbow colour scheme,

And I would save all my favourite colours,

For you.

When all I can smell is dusty roses,

You give me red.

And when the falling leaves lay in a silver pile,

You give me orange.

When I chase the miles on ashen sand,

You give me yellow.

And when we walk together beneath dusky trees,

You give me green.

When I chase birds of argentine,

You give me blue.

And when the sun falls grey in the evening sky,

You give me purple.

If I could paint the world over,

I would paint everything I see,

With a rainbow colour scheme,

And I would save all my favourite colours,

For you bring colour to my world of black and white.
