ONE IN A THOUSAND COLORS

A beautiful color in me

By Joveline NicastroPublished 5 years ago 2 min read

Flying colors into my world

As I saw when I came around

Red is on the wall, orange painting hanging around

Grandma's apron full of chocolate brown

I was little tip top toe running towards the crowd

Kids all around smiling and proud about

Kite was so high, it's green in the sky

Telling my dreams to be bound so high

I got one, two, three of an old toys

And the old wooden wagon was the best of all

For grandpa's creation put its best, it was red around

Wheels were black running as it's firm and straight like my dream was

School was fun but never been as easy as it was

For I thought my favorite flying colors around

Were welcome and everyone's favorite one

Heart-nature are patience and love within, does courage braced me in

I walked through rough roads and mountainous terrain

As more as I went through, colors were visible and gleam

Sun is yellow and shine is hope

Moon is silver and its glowed thy calm

As I pursue dreams, hardship was my companion

I count white pearl of tears day and night about

Crystal sweats on my forehead, I remember my Mama's tongue of wisdom

Thy words like a water pouring in my dry throat

As I walked towards at space bunch of humans around

As I see my color it's different, but I am proud

For it's black olive alike, it's dark, lustrous and it shows merit for who I am

Bravery was born in me and I gave thanks, for it came from the one above

Thou strength gained in my journey like a greenish and yellowish oil

It's colors and taste that cheers spirit up

Oil that makes justification of the evidence of thy ancestors I come from

They are sleeping calm in their reticent tombs with their wordless ambition

Oh! my own blood and flesh I come from, so asleep

Ambitions of long time ago, dreams from far away and never had a way

It will reborn, I am no hero but my color told me I am worth to have it all

Vigor of my mind and the solidity of my body as be one

Oh! My voice was so deep within, Deep, I thought that no one can hear

I started to speak up of the different colors I know and I saw

I speak up, I shout it out and everyone becomes cognizant

Out of my devotion, I did draw the thousands of colors I know

In every wall of my countrymen, I painted it with my own hands

My hands and arms like a strong jackal-berry tree that challenging around

I painted the thousands of colors, the colors of humanity

Humanity is the most ethical picture to see

Lets be one my fellowmen your color and my color

Are one of the thousand colors that exist in a space we are in

Red, blue, orange, yellow, and green are part of the world we are in

Beautiful color sights everyone sees

The color I have, I see no supremacy nor slavery

All I see I am one in a thousand colors

For it's own shades have its own special barony

Aspiration to rise its ancestors own treasured flag

I begin with aspiration; I will end up with victory

I begin with plain; I will end up with colors

The distinctive color I have is the aesthetic of my soul and flesh

For I am one in a thousand colors.
