The Shiny Coffee Mug

A shiny mug

in the cupboard

one of the special

glassware of all

as morning comes everyone is up

one place to go but the kitchen is so

as boiling water done

everyone gets a mug

one mug for me

one mug for my sister

one mug for my little brother for a hot milk

and one shiny coffee mug to share for my mom and pop

everyday I see this special mug

as two people shares with that mug

as my young curios mind

why do mom and pop have to share?

I asked my mom

why is that so?

her answer was so cute

as she says "it makes my morning through"

I asked my pop

why is that so?

his answer was so sweet

as he says "because it makes the coffee so good"

Little mind of mine

growing with the thought

of making a day and a coffee sweet

how precious it was I will cherish it be

As I was growing up

I never seen a thing

that sweet as thee

for mom and pop has that one mug that creates a magical love.
