It is imperative that we listen to the stories of Holocaust survivors, and I mean really listen and learn because we are losing more and more of them now because those who fail to learn from the past will repeat it.

Old eyes
Tell a silent
Story
Survival.
Eyes that spoke
Of loss and pain
A loss so great
Freedom and hope
Ripped away
Because of a label.
Eyes cloud with
Tears
A mixture of pain
And joy
The quiet story
Of a survival written
In old eyes
And bones
Of a survivor.
Old eyes
Fading to time
A reminder
That now
More than ever
We must
Listen
Because the
Tellers of history
Are fading
Into eternity
And this
History
Should never
Be repeated.
