Nurtured by Pain

turning pain into petals

There is beauty that lies within the pain we feel,

It is never meant to vanish–

instead, it aids our growth.

..

Our suffering is just a stepping stone,

Beginning our path,

The start of our bloom.

..

Perceiving the world through various lenses,

Empowering a shift,

Affecting every reality.

..

Often, we forget the blessing pain provides–

Room to grow roots and sprout,

giving us the space to reach toward the sun

..

We are a seed.

Pain is the water that makes us grow;

Our mind is the sun.

..

Their absence guarantees dormancy.

Picture your being in today's light.

Remember how you got here–

..

through struggles,

through hardships,

through pain.

..

Shaped into the flower that is you.

Don't let yesterday’s problem

affect today’s potential.

..

You are–

beautiful, strong, worthy, soulful

More importantly, you are you.

This poem is something else 🤯 I love the message you bring with these, and the growing 'plant' that is us as people. Good luck in the challenge. "Don't let yesterday’s problem affect today’s potential." - the lines I would have tattooed, personally, though you've written a lot great lines here.
