Incomparably different
And way more precious to me
Than the acquisition of the rarest trophy
No matter what success it commemorates
Would never even elicit that debate
A trophy is coveted for superficial allure
Stowed away or showcased for pride
One just whets the appetite for another
And likely ignored in pursuit of those others
I do not want you because others pine for you
I won't adore you just for a period of time
Then disrespect you in pursuit of others
Because you are enough for me
You satisfy my every quota of you
And leave no room to want to fill
Your splendor is not time dependent
So my time can't take you for granted
You do not remind me of anyone else
So I can't get used to your beauty
That is why I am lucky to have you
When impostor syndrome sows doubt
You hold me till it melts away
My vision of beauty was so limited before you
Because all I did before was compare
But you are not trophy to me
I could not conjure you in my wildest dreams
Though I dream of you now when I am awake
When there is music in my heart I see your face
Like the splendor of the morning sun
Bursting through clouds that can not contain
The universal largesse like the smile on your face
So I wont restrain you in a trophy case
Like an accomplishment to make others jealous
