Constrained Concupiscence

Spontaneous Attraction

By HenRocPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

What naturally pulls us together

In sad contemplation pushes us apart

What seems light as a feather

But weighs heavily on the heart

What we emphatically dare not speak of

Because we are scared to understand

What lay latent resonating in the pulse

That which is to happen without a plan

What we hinder from a beauteous blossom

Yet we have not the courage to annihilate

Love's passion fusion not wont to fathom

Yet forcefully attempt to contain its flames

What is mellifluous, maintained in whisper

But in the light of the sun is forbidden fruit

A lustful rarity restrained to whimper

A luscious approbation caged like a brute
