Drinking with old friends, 2025. Montage - AI-generated images. Artwork: RGT
Another funeral to attend,
When will it ever end?
Countless corpses stacked, to show
How mortal men are dealt a blow,
And leave the living, join the dead,
A little early, it must be said.
Few friends left, now, to join with me,
At local inn for revelry.
So goodbye Michael, Peter too,
Dafydd, Keith, farewell to you.
Requiescat in Pace brothers.
Just time for me to sup another
Glass before I take my bow
And shuffle off this mortal coil.

Ask not for whom the glass is quaffed....
Losing friends is hard but one must continue on till your time comes and just remember all the good times you had together.
I'm so sorry for your loss 🥺 Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
A Sweetkiss farewell to the loved.
This poem's somber. It really hits home how fleeting life is. Losing friends like that must be tough. Makes you appreciate every moment, you know? I've been to too many funerals myself.
