Life’s journey may have
scattered us here and there.
We may be playing,
with a digitals devices,
addicted to them,
deep down we know,
it's complex, and unnecessary.
We all crave simplicity,
it's easy on the brain,
frugality feels like security.
We all get nostalgic
for the village fair,
when we ate cotton candy,
rode carousels,
and bought colorful balloons.
We may buy expensive scents,
but we all sense,
nothing can compare,
the earthy smell of petrichor.
I am indifferent to AC air,
for I know the wholesomeness
of a tree shade,
fanned by zillion leaves.
I run away from
preservative-laced packaged foods,
for I have tasted mother's,
satiating fermented pancakes
made on clay skillet
cooked on woodfires.
Not all changes are
good for the health and soul,
we are realizing,
slowly but surely,
as we nurse nostalgic pangs.

We all miss the good old days. Love the pic
I also miss the good old days. Things seemed simpler and people seemed happier.
