NHS we love you

NHS our hero's

On that I must agree,

12 hour shifts and saving lives

And we get it all for free.

So prior to the virus

How did we cheer our guys,

"the systems bloody broken"

"the waiting times are lies"

12 hours shifts and saving lives

The work loads so profuse,

While staff are hanging posters

Requesting respect, and less abuse.

A&E is choca

Full of tuts and moans and groans,

12 hour shifts and saving lives

Trying to pay off all the loans.

Now we are all so virtuous

"increase their daily pay"

When prior to the virus

We hardly looked their way.

And I'm noticing a different side

A legitimate tool to use,

To judge and point at others

To ignite a fearful fuse.

Don't hide behind the NHS

To spread the fear and hate,

12 hour shifts and saving lives

On a measly hourly rate.

They really are our hero's

Ignored for far too long,

Lets support and not forget them

When this virus has been and gone.
