My Summer Vacation
a poem

A spot of sunlight fire-kissed my face,
High noon, the clock struck (too early for gin)
Sipping my potion (I was such a disgrace)
A waft of combustion drifted hazily in
And then, a green car drove through the lake!

Well, well, what an adventure! It's the misadventures that make vacations, sometimes. A cute poem, Pamela!
Excellent poem and excellent storytelling. Love it ♥︎
I love that the picture was taken by you, what a crazy day this was 🤣 I love the vibe you brought with it. It gave me the feeling of being there too. Wait… did you still drink the gin even though it was too early for it?
What the heck? lol. This is great.
Great poem. I saw those water cars at Disney crazy to think they were made in the sixties
I love how you let this day unfold as it would
Fantastic! I really enjoyed reading it 👍
Nice
Never too early if you're on holiday 😉
An airy poem with rich self-expression. Very good.!
Sunlit moments, surreal and strange, life’s quirky dance through a hazy frame.
Hi PW - It’s Gin time somewhere🍸— Such a Coincidence: One of these amphicars - I think they are called -cruised next to our boat on our early morning fresh special Seabreeze wake-up's as my Corgi sat at the stern — The weird green thing couldn’t get out of it’s own way: It’s name “The Pickle 🥒 Long Beach, Ca.” You’re fun..! Great poem, Pamela.
