My Season of LOVE has arrived!

How Beautiful You Are My Darling

By Mariah KalunguPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

The airy, crisp, feminine fragrance drew me

And there you were across the room sitting behind the wacky window gazing through

The rains had just stopped, and I could see the skies you were staring at

You’re darkened skin by the sun is just lovely

And when you turned to look at me, my toes twitched, and my knees buckled

Almost giving me away!

My darling, how beautiful you are

Oh, how beautiful you are!

Your eyes behind the veil are doves

Your teeth look as if they have been washed in milk as you smile

Your dark braided hair like a rope dance from the breeze

Your cheeks are beautiful with earrings of gold and studded with silver

Your neck with strings of jewel cuts across your breasts

Oh! How I wish I could rest in between them and feel their warmth

My season of love has arrived

I had searched for the one my heart loves

I had looked for her but had not found her for ages

Through the busy streets and the squares

I had searched and searched but did not find her

“Have you seen the one my heart loves?”

I had asked guards in the city as I made rounds in search of her!

And here she was standing across the room

Let me hear your sweat voice

Let me hold your hand and never let go

Let me bring you to my mother’s house

To the room of the one who conceived me

For I am faint with love!
