No Witnesses
Secrets Speak Loudest When No One Watches
By luna hartPublished about 7 hours ago • 1 min read

Silent truths in shadows dwell,
Where stories hide they dare not tell.
A fleeting glance, a whispered name,
No one sees, yet all feels the same.
Footsteps fade on empty streets,
Secrets curl where darkness meets.
Eyes avert, hearts pretend to sleep,
The world forgets, but memories keep.
Hands that tremble, voices low,
A truth too sharp for daylight’s glow.
No witnesses to mark the crime,
Yet conscience clocks the passing time.
In solitude, the soul confesses,
To unseen ears, its own witnesses.
And though the world may never know,
The heart remembers all it chose to show.
