My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows
A Plagiaristic Poem From The Songs Of The Debut Album By Marc Bolan and Tyrannosaurus Rex

Introduction

My parents used to buy albums and in those days the inner sleeves carried advertisements for other albums. One of those albums was this one, and the cover of this really caught my eye. It was full of magic, and the title was a poem in itself.
I never had a copy on vinyl but this morning I pulled out the CD to play and looked at the titles and thought how perfect they would be to share as a plagiaristic poem.
I love the words from John Peel that you can read in the image above, and Marc's dedication to Aslan and the Old Narnians, emphasizing its magic. (I was going to say magicality but I don't think that's a word, although it is now)
There are only thirteen unique song titles so I added "Chariots of Silk" from "Unicorn" as a sonnet contains fourteen lines.
If you want to find out more about my Plagiaristic Poetry I have included my original article after this poem
The music I have chosen is "Weilder of Word" perfect for both Marc Bolan and Myself.
