In The Wood, Not A Sound

I'm So Proud Of You
This song came on the player (actually it was the Todd Rundgren cover as part of a twelve-minute medley) but it just reminded me of someone I am incredibly proud of because of what they are doing with their life despite various difficulties, and they always have a smile on their face. This really does have to be a villanelle.

Except for the evergreens! Their needles turn brown & fall, but only after producing new green ones (unless, of course, the tree has died). Beautiful, both this time of year & your poem. (The song is good, too, lol.)
