An opening came
Pushing me into the world
Born during winter

***
When her water broke
Out I slid into the cold
Squalling like the wind
***
"You are from ashes.
To ashes you shall return."
My father told me.

***
Love, warm like a fire.
A foundation like the earth.
Born to love filled hearts.

Great use of quadra-haiku to go from the beginning to end to middle of life.
I love that you kept rhythm so naturally and still pulled hearr strings. It's a gift to write something that people connect with so much, they don't think about the work that went into it. This is a great piece!
This is so beautiful and such a creative take! Thoroughly enjoyed. 😍 Wonderful! It's unique and haven't seen one like it yet. :)
