How I remember
the first time ever I heard
that jewel-like voice
*
heartbreak, given life
through your soft, gentle timbre
Oh, Ms Flack, sing on
*
Thanks for reading!

I remember when she passed, how sad it was :( A true legend.
Ah lovely! I am not sure I know her original renditions (I.e I think I know the songs from all the covers..)
Magnificent tribute poem!!! Loved it!!!
Such sad, sad news of her passing. Beautiful poetry, Paul. Roberta Flack will surely sing on in our hearts and souls.
Aw, this is a super touching poem to pay tribute to an artist! So genuine and heartfelt! I was surprised by how short it was, but it somehow made it punch harder? Maybe something to do with life feeling short and death feeling like it can come out of nowhere? Am I digging too much? Possibly. xD Hard to describe my thoughts on that, but it works wonderfully, Paul! RIP Roberta Flack. I'm glad her songs get to live on!
Roberta Flack left a lasting legacy with her beautiful voice! Your tribute to her is touching and genuine. Nicely done, Paul.
This is very sad. Truly an extraordinary artist and performer. Killing Me Softly was truly magical! Thanks for your tribute, Paul!
I was. Sad when I heard of her passing. Her voice truly was and is one of the truest. A wonderful tribute Paul
She has one of the most amazing voices ever. Beautiful, Paul.
A vital part of the playlist for my heartbroken youth. R.I.P. & please do sing on.
You and Rick Henry both wrote about her. Gotta look her up
I did remember right two of my most favorite songs and now the singer is gone. Killing me softly and The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face songs that I can still hum pretty well and remember younger days. Good job on the tribute haiku.
I have no idea who is she but may her soul rest in peace 🥺❤️
Such a beautiful tribute, Paul! Can feel the real heart within it, every syllable.- What a loss.
Such a shame. Such a brilliant voice - great piece Paul. Well done.
Oh, such a sad shame. RIP Ms Flack <3
