No longer will I be handcuffed to the pain of the past.
I’m moving on to a future where the pain doesn’t last.
Whatever happened yesterday is not today.
Last night is gone. I’m only focused on what I’ve got today.
I’m well aware of the crazy rock I’m living on.
Tomorrow’s train has arrived and it looks like I’m getting on.
I came from a past where I survived a lot.
Now I’m headed for a future where I’ll thrive a lot.
Yesterday is gone and the mystery ends.
I’m finally moving forward and this is where history begins.

So you decided to become an "Advanced Practice" nurse. Congratulations!... is what I would say if this was a good idea. Grad school? In this economy? What were you thinking? Likely it was something along the lines of either 1) “I've seen these other chucklefucks do it— Why can't I?” or even 2) “I've got a nice career, I should shake it up. I miss feeling like I have no clue what I'm doing.”
