A mother's life,
is so full of strife.
I know the responsibilities,
perching on my shoulders,
so I try to study and earn,
In-between, and when,
done with household chores.
But the little son comes
with his blaring iPad,
I have misophonia,
noisy sound interrupts me,
I need peace,
for delivering my best.
I am pissed off, I sigh,
anger brews.
If I ask him to go to other room,
he will feel rejected,
may also scratch his eczema skin,
adding to the trouble.
So I close the work I was doing,
and do low-cerebral things,
like photo editing.
Motherhood is lots of,
ifs and buts,
judgment an decision-making,
endless adaptation and resilience.
It's round-the-clock service,
if we are dismissing its importance,
we're committing a vice.
Motherhood is a balance game,
not supporting mothers is shame.

Mothering and parenthood are a 24/7 job/career.
Love this! I sometimes wish I didn't need to earn money so I could focus all my attention on my son, but I also enjoy writing and mothers need to do the things they love.
