Incapable of more

Care, respect, compassion,

Stops the wrongful action,

Keeps the world from becoming ashen,

Onto peace, we fasten.

She ensures the kind-hearted and willing thrive,

Placing safety upon her hive,

None dare contrive,

She would die before the young unalive.

But those who do not have her, or one alike,

We can not stay childlike,

We grow up faster; our counterstrike,

A fight back against her malicious psych.

Intentional or not, she brings pain,

Altering the chemistry of the brain,

Thrusting us into evil, sometimes good will reign,

Good unlikely from pain as it usually results in Cain.

Those who end as good are those who become aware,

Those unafraid to bare,

Those who know there's no spare,

Those who have one prayer,

To have care.

Some spend years running from strife,

Many turn to the knife,

Others, the wife,

But ultimately seeking Ife,

We were failed,

And we were haled,

Disdain, bitterness and terror trailed,

Fortunately, many have prevailed,

Ife, not Cain prevailed.

About the Creator

Soul576

I don't really write, much... or at all. I just thought I needed a place to remember where I've come from so I can move on to the future. I hope someone enjoys my writing, and hopefully it isn't too cringy.
