In Search of My Soul
The voyage of enlightenment

My Soul, how I ached for you,
uncharted, an esoteric dew
Shrouded by an isolated scream,
a drift, misplaced, a labyrinthine
I looked within, deeper, higher,
smouldered by the calcination of fire,
uninvited, yet profound
Untamed storm, an amethyst, gowned
An apparition of truth,
shadowed me in melancholy youth
Harmony, an awakening,
a divine vision of hue, hurried in
Bygone paradigms destructed,
repressed wounds erupted
Honouring true self—authenticity,
eyes opened to duplicity
I embrace your jewels of sovereignty,
radiance beamed a stoic honesty
Cherished, wonderfully designed,
magnificence,
the purest stone from innocence
My poem briefly describes the destruction and breaking down of who I thought I was, onto my awakening; and although I hadn’t invited it in, I had always yearned for the truth that lay buried beneath the rubble of my painful former years.

Chantal, this is gorgeous! As soon as I saw the title, I knew I had to read your poem. It feels personally resonant, too, as I've been on a spiritual journey for some time now, but most recently, I've felt a tremendous shift. This feels angelic and peaceful, and such a beautiful piece of enlightenment. Congratulations on such a well-deserved top story!
