How long have I been lying here?
I’m not awake, am I?
I feel like last time I asked
I spat out a handful of teeth and woke up screaming
Is that an alarm going off?
I'm not already behind schedule, am I?
I constantly skitter around
Grabbing floored items as I run
Have I floated past this moment before?
I’m not living in circles, am I?
Keeping one eye on the floor of the past
One on my destination, the wide open future sky
Have mortal bonds relinquished their grip?
I’m not haunting the ruins of an unlived life, am I?
Swearing revenge is a risky business
It only impedes your own restless soul from gaining peace
