I stand emotionally naked in a world of masked people.
The greenness of my eyes seeps out and trickles down my pale skin.
It traces over the lines of the blood-redness in my arms turning orange
Like the sun that sets over another day in alone-life,
Trying to dissipate the cloud of grey that hangs over me.
I yearn for sunshine yellowness to bleach out the sea of blue masks
And recall days when the world was a vibrant rainbow of emotions.
Each thought and emotion and giggle and tear
Leave their mark in my life-companion of a notebook
That follows me like a shadow,
Capturing the words that race inside my head.
The tentative blue lines, the scribbled pencil marks
And the firmness of black ink, captured for eternity.
This is my rainbow of colour.
This is my world.
