Mercury In Retrograde: A Speedy Transit For Disappearing
Hypnotic hype

Find yourself at the platform on July 17, at precisely 9:45 pm PT
Imagine, yes, imagine, you are wearing running shoes
A fresh pair of Nikes, neatly laced and tied
The platform is a space, somewhere between Earth and Mercury
Accessible by your mind, but you have to believe
Mercury moves faster at a picked-up pace
Orbiting the Sun in 88 days
While Earth takes 365
Ready to feel alive again- Ready to leave?
***
Meet me at the platform on July 17, at precisely 9:45 pm PT
Prepare to feel alive again, we are leaving
Speed Racer passes the baton, collectively, we grab the transit
Faster than freedom, we free-fall
Disappearing, reappearing in Mercury territory
Hot rodders, we are, zooming, zooming, zooming
But it feels like we are falling backward
You are falling backward, right?
You are falling backward, right?
YOU ARE FALLING BACKWARD, RIGHT?
***
Meet me at the platform on July 17 at precisely 9:45 pm PT
Backward, we fall- NO, not all
It's a tricky situation
We are actually ahead, lapping Earth 3 times
But it feels like a time warp
Time slowing down, rewinding
SLOWER, slower, slower...
Sooner or later, all the kinks will iron out
Confusion, glitches in tech, breakdown in communication
However, there's no need for your concern
Disappearing means you get to finally find yourself

Find Yourself
Go within: look deep, look deeper
Deeper, deeper, deeper...
Close your eyes, realize all your yesteryears are present
Joy, Youth, Abundance, Love, Health
Pulsating through all of your being is WEALTH
Stealthily breathing in between layers of skin
Epidermis, dermis, hypodermos
Three layers, three levels, similar to Mercury's 3x ahead lapping
Overlapping
Pondering, thinking, on the brink...
***
Meet me at the platform on July 17 at precisely 9:45 pm PT
On the brink, you consider
What would it be like if you chose not to live in planetary confines
Earth-based breakdowns, setbacks, and unalignments
Human-type thoughts that lead to retirement
Retiring to a quest for vanishing
Brainwashing, self-inflicted; caught and convicted
Yet optical illusions seem to get you every time
Wanna cross the line, all the boundaries-
Horrays set by this world full of yahoos?
Wanna go backward to jump ahead, get out of your head?
Great!

And, remember, don't be late!

'Stellar' work, Marilyn! Very imaginative and unique! I now feel like I should have been there on July 17th at 9:45 Somehow, I was...
Standing Ovation Marilyn! Brilliant beyond mere words.
Back to say congratulations on your Top Story! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
Brilliant work 👍
Congratulation on your top story
This felt like a cosmic meditation—part dream, part invitation. I loved the hypnotic rhythm and how it turned Mercury retrograde into a portal for self-discovery. See you at the platform.✨
Marilyn this is NEXT-LEVELS awesome! Fantastic from start to finish! Top story well deserved and then some!
So surreal! And great use of repetition, it gave it a nod toward some formal structures while still being really fluid!
I will meet you there hehehehehe. This was so creative!
Niiiice, Marilyn. This is such a unique poem and I loved it. Ever since you told me not to overthink when letting the poetry flow, I'm starting to see it in other's work. This one had such a great flow to it; it's like you never stopped (or perhaps you went retrograde, haha). <3
Very good, Marilyn. You put a lot of thought and work into this. I love how each movement perfectly flows to the next.
