For Real Poetic’s Anniversary Acrostic Challenge
Another year has gone by, seven in total since you’ve been gone
Never expected to lose you but the angels came
Now each day something reminds me of you
In every sun ray above I see your bright smile
Very much I feel your presence in moments most sad
Every note of every favorite song brings images to mind
Remembering those moments when together were we
Surely you are watching over me and remembering too
As time races on wish we were still walking hand in hand
Reaching out to you on a star-filled night wondering if you’re swinging on a star
Year after year you remain my love and the memories shine on…

So You Decided To Become a Nurse Practitioner:
So you decided to become an "Advanced Practice" nurse. Congratulations!... is what I would say if this was a good idea. Grad school? In this economy? What were you thinking? Likely it was something along the lines of either 1) “I've seen these other chucklefucks do it— Why can't I?” or even 2) “I've got a nice career, I should shake it up. I miss feeling like I have no clue what I'm doing.”
