Magnolia
Tribute to a fallen beauty

Painting of my magnolia flower
You’re gone since last year
But I still can’t forget you
Painting you to cope.
About this haiku: almost a year ago I had to take down my giant magnolia tree to appease my neighbor. Here’s the story I wrote about it:
I still cannot forget how strong and beautiful it was, and when I was going through my pictures I stumbled upon one of my magnolia flowers and decided to paint it. This was my first ever attempt at acrylic paints.

Aww beautiful tribute to your once living and now gone tree! ❤️
Delightful painting & poem about your beautiful tree… sad to have to remove it. Sadly, pets, children and trees are a major source of contention between neighbours 🥺
awwww shame!!
I think I remember that tree debacle, but I will read it to be sure. Well, at least the tree will be happy to be remembered with a still life ode to her sad demise. She lives on in her painted petals. Lovely.
Look beautiful ! Excellent painting and poem Lana. Sad to hear this though. ☺️
The simplicity of the poem and its focus on the act of painting as a means of processing emotions evoke a sense of introspection and healing, thank you for sharing this heartfelt expression!
What a jerk neighbor. I will read that story next. Beautiful haiku and sorry you had to cut down the tree! Lovely painting, Lana!
Wow! It is beautiful! For a first with acrylics, it is amazing. I think it shows the artist you are and you should consider continuing in this medium! 😊💕 Signing the piece is important too!❤️
Wow, I can give a thousands of claps for that work. Loved that sad poetry.
Omgggg, I can only imagine how devastating that must have been for you 🥺 Your painting is so beautiful!
"Painting you to cope." Art can be so sentimental. Beautifully done, Lana! 💌
So sad to lose a magnificent tree. Great haiku and fantastic painting too
I'm feeling this all to vividly. Though mine is a sycamore, and he took it down while I was out.
