Mirrored images of battling minds
Antagonizing lost leprous souls
Damnation be blessed, and blessings be damned in
Nebulous concepts of falsehoods untold
Everything you’ve ever held as a truth
Stained black with hypocrisy’s lies
Sadness be glee, and glee be called sane
In pale muddled visions of patchwork minds
Sanity, but a concept to behold
Sequestered by white-coats in drone
A flick of a pen, a click of a lock
Nefarious beings with dark thoughts to clone

In blinding visions of dull socialization
Treatment’s victorious in forced assimilation
Yet still we wonder, was any of it real?

The steps to losing a child
Step One: Lose a child. Not what anyone wants to happen and nothing you can do to change it, but you can go through steps to becoming happy again. You can go through steps to loving again. You can go through steps to become a new you because after losing a child you will never be the same person you once were.

It took me wayyyyy longer than I care to admit to figure out that it spelled out MADNESS IS SANITY. And if it isn't that, I give up. Your acrostric drove me into madness! Pun intended hahahahaha! Jokes aside, if you didn't mention it was an acrostic, I'd never have realised! It had such a smooth flow to it. Loved your poem!
I've long said that the way we tend to define or identify insanity is by its differing from the norm. But for most of my life, the norm is to be different. So if you're sane, you're crazy & if you're crazy, you're sane.
