‘Lost’ Lament…
Acrostic for Gabriel’s "Lost-ish" Poetry Challenge
By Angie the Archivist 📚🪶Published 12 months ago • 1 min read

Lonely… looking for laughter!
Lilting lively laughter leaves Lost-ish Laments languishing in loneliness…
On the odd occasion Gloom obstinately keeps me company
Sickness, Sadness and Solitude slowly sing along with finesse.
Trouble trebles time… tediously tapping its tympany.
-
Isolation increases insecure introspection
So… swiftly seeking sweet Social Support
Health, Happiness and Hope renew their connection.

This manic extrovert’s madcap attempt at Gabriel Huizenga’s ‘Lost-ish Poetry Challenge’!

Another ‘Losing It’ poem!

Brilliant use of the acrostic form - I adore this take on the prompt! Such profundity captured in your words and turns of phrase, here; a clear and lovely reminder to seek out that which sustains us in the lost-ish moments. Thank you for this stellar entry, Angie! :)
This tugged at my heart for lonely, lost Camel....social support is such an important message. Thank you :) for doing that!
Smartly written, a great flow
Love the acrostic here. Very creative.
Love the alliterative acrostic approach you used for this, Angie!! Very well done! And I absolutely love the photo you paired with it!
Well-wrought! Awesome alliteration!
What a creative and wonderful poem, Angie! Great response to the challenge.
This is such a clever acrostic entry to the challenge, Angie. I agree with Kelsey. I love the alliteration!
I love the alliteration in this!
What a wonderfully alliterative lament turned triumph! From loneliness to renewal, you’ve woven a rhythmic tale of resilience. Bravo for turning introspection into inspiration!✨
Nice use of the 'power of three' in there.
This is awesome
Excellent entry to the unofficial challenge 👌
Whoaaaa, your alliteration was soooo on point! You blew my mind with this one!
I like how this flows between contrasting emotions—loneliness and hope, sadness and support. The rhythm really matches the theme of seeking balance and connection.
I do love an acrostic and your using alliteration too was great!
