I didnβt know that Marilyn Monroeβs name in βGentlemen Prefer Blondesβ was Lorelei Lee, I found it out on Richard Osmanβs βHouse of Gamesβ and that kicked me off to write a love poem based on the concept of the Lorelei.

My Beautiful Lorelei
Then I Fell In Love Headlong
I caught your beautiful eye

Above the sea, so aloof
Your voice so sweet, Alluring
Be My Queen, You Have My Heart
I Will Never Be Turning

My Lorelei, Sea Maiden
Mermaid girl, With voice of gold
Love your gentle persuasion
One day each other weβll hold
My Lorelei, I Am Yours
And So This Love Will Endure
