Life Is The Gift
a life in motion, a true work of art
our words search for the truth to reveal how special they are
each moment is numbered, we aren’t promised a count
we have no idea, the final amount
of moments we’re given, as precious as gold
would we cherish them more, if the tally were told
or just take them for granted, assuming there are more
like the stars in the sky or the sands on the shore
one thing that I know, of the best way to react
is to spend every day living, cause we can’t get them back
so, dance in the sunshine, sing in the rain
celebrate your life, through the joy and the pain
because tomorrow’s not promised, so if you open your eyes
spend your numbers on memories, no regrets, no goodbyes

Thoughts on Vocal and the way the world is
"Death cannot stop true love, only delay it." – Wesley in The Princess Bride. I decided to come back to Vocal on a very cold and dark night at the end of December. I had been, and still am, convalescing from a horrible staph infection that had gone misdiagnosed for months. This, paired with the increasing challenges of being healthy, making the best choices for my co-parented child, being a wife, and being a director at a new job, was a lot to manage.
