I have lived the story.

pages written,

moments remembered,

blanks filled in,

lessons have been learned,

lessons taught,

lessons spurred from lessons.

The story seldom changed.

Decisions were made early in the story, fate handled the rest.

when change was needed, change occurred.

Was change always the answer?

indeed it was,

for if not,

change would not happen.

most stories seek the best in content,

exhilarated emphasis on the better days,

covering those which are ugly with smiles,

solitude,

hidden emotions,

we move on even when there is not a move to make!

time reminds the author of eventual endings,

some tragic,

some happy,

some with pain,

some without endings that spur new beginnings.

do we dare??

pages document the story,

chapters cover time,

but, as with all stories,

the final edit will be;

"The End"

surreal poetry

Just read a couple more before bed! Love this one. Just subscribed. 😊 I enjoy writing free verse sometimes as I feel I can just do whatever I want, but yours have a real flow, pace and rhythm at times which works very well! Congrats.
