Let Go To Transmute

🚘

Dog’s ears,

Out the left window of

The back-seat,

Flapping in the warm breeze of

A summer’s day

(In the car in front of me).

Happily, its tongue wagging

Back and forth and then even

Changing windows -

Now I’m gonna be joyful sticking

My head outside of

THIS window!

(I imagine them thinking).

Not a care in the world.

Hmmm..

*

Earlier in a message, I sat in the car and said,

“I forgive you.. but I don’t want to be your best-friend”,

The fingers typed ‘forgive’ into the message even though

I had no initial intention of doing so -

Something was giving those thumbs a little

Mysterious nudge in the right direction,

“I’m sorry too”, I also said, yet that doesn’t mean

I won’t forget, I thought.

Moments later waves of energy flowed through me,

Lighter, less forceful ones -

Leading to calming ripples.

I felt much less burdened and more in control than I had in weeks.

*

So is that all there is to presence?

A letting go?

Sometimes the way is paved with concrete,

Or it feels as thick as mud,

Finding one’s way out is seemingly next to impossible, yet

A slight shift,

A small change in perspective.

Let go to transmute

Let go to transmute

Let it out,

That stuck energy is killing us.

Let it out NOW.

*

I drove off/ wound down the windows,

Felt the warm breeze brush my forearms,

Far less caring of a response, as I’d said my piece,

And then there was the dog.

*

- Thanks a lot for reading.

That. Was. Reading. Transformation. Hooo nice! I like how you phased and structured that. Not to mention so much truth.

The whole "let go to transmute" part hits hard – such a powerful message.

Yep, let go and it works out. And the dog's pleasure was a plus because not much makes them unhappy (except mean people). Congrats on Leaderboard!!

Love how you captured the magical essence of a dog!

  • Good job. Glad the puppy’s carefree spirit was infectious! I love it when the wind ruffles my Labrador’s ears… so cute.😊

Love the bliss of this, Grz!! Congrats on honourable mention this week!

  • Wooohooooo congratulations on your Leaderboard placement! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊

  • This is great, Grz. Sometimes just the simplicity of a dog sticking its head out of a car window can make a persons day.

Forgiveness as a special secret art of alchemy! And then the dog who knows how to make you smile with no tricks or magic :-D How is life, Grz? Haven't heard from you in a while (while being myself roaming deep waters).

Love the feeling of this, Grz! I always smile when I see a dog with their head out of a window. More and more I let go. My mantra - acknowledge how I feel, give it a moment and then dismiss it. Let it go. I choose not to hold on to it. I choose to let it go. Works for me. Loved this. Made me thoughtful.

Most creative, Enjoyed and brought a smile picturing the dog with the lolling tongue out the car window,

I think picking up on the small things that give us a wee lift is the secret to happiness. I love dogs and would have been similarly delighted, along with the warmth you felt. Awesome work, well done!

There's such a calming feeling of release about this one with the dog and the warm breeze, and just letting go. Well done.

Get it G! I felt this one in my spirit! Very inspiring! Well done! 💕

I love how the dog’s carefree joy mirrors the feeling of release—just letting the wind carry away the tension. It’s a lovely, personal reflection on freeing oneself from what holds us back. Plus, the dog's moment of happiness? Just the cherry on top! ✨

It's easy to forgive, but hard to forget. What was done will always lurk in the back of your mind. Love the imagery of your poem. <3 Nothing like seeing a happy dog sticking his head out of a window on a car ride. Glad to see you, writing, Grz, <3

Wow Anthony… Fantastic way to put an image to use. The power of acceptance, if not forgiveness, is a wonderful thing. Great job. Loving this.

So your name is Anthony, Not Grz, I love Grz, like GRRRRRZZZZZ, the bear. I don't think humans can totally forgive, we harbour ill will in just a little form somewhere inside us. Quite normal...that dog, so free and carefree, you would prob get your head knocked off by a truck. He ha ha.

Incredibly relatable, pal! loved what you did with this and the do g elements. felt the parts of saying you forgive and not fully meaning it!

  • "Moments later waves of energy flowed through me, Lighter, less forceful ones - Leading to calming ripples." I've felt this too, but not for the same reasons as you. I felt that because I tell myself that I'd take revenge when I get the chance hehehehe. Loved your poem!
