Lazy bone.

Wake up.

In bed I lie, a heavy weight

The morning light, a dreaded fate

To rise and shine, a Herculean task

My body screams, "Just five more minutes, please!"

The sheets are warm, the pillow soft and sweet

I snuggle deep, my motivation weak

The world outside, a distant hum

As I hit snooze, my day is undone

Sluggish and slow, I finally arise

Procrastination, my constant guise

The day ahead, a daunting test

But first, a nap, to pass the time.
