Kirkstone Pass
The majestic fells of the Lake District
By Sarah Fiander HarrisonPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Clouds cast shadows on the fells today
As Austin Mini climbs his way,
Up to the top of the Kirkstone Pass,
Ferns and bracken nestle with grass.
Sheep contentedly enjoy the sun,
Balancing on hillsides as they wander along.
Right now we could be on top of the world,
As the road ahead starts to unfurl;
Down and down we pass trees and streams,
Daily struggles are forgotten it seems.
This amazing countryside, this wonderful land
Is shaped by our universe's guiding hand.
