It was only a fling

"he moved on"

She availed herself

Only for him.

He didn't see her.

He never cared

Neither did he look backward.

She walked and followed him.

She got ignored.

She tried to reach out to him.

He never responded.

Quietly, she waited

Her love for him

Her devotion

Her innocence

So foolishly blowed by the wind

He moved on as if they never met.

In silence, she cried

In her heart, she developed hatred.

Looking at herself, she felt used.

The truth is, he never loved her.

It was only a fling.

Sad. 😢... such is life ... but I do believe that when one door closes, another one opens. 😊

  • This was so heartbreaking but is the reality for many. Loved your poem!
