It Speaks

Little things

It Speaks

You sit in the woods
taking in every word
asking for the universe
to see you in need.

It answers with a warm
gentle hug from the wind
validating your quiet wish
I both see and am with you.

It invokes a sharp inhaling
choke of a truthful breath
An awakening to cry out,
a begging of painful release.

It feels your fight or flight
your need to reject love
But you asked, so now it
makes sure you'll recieve.

You feel your heart tighten
as it presses a bit deeper
Still meeting resistance
you see the moon smile.

Let me in now my little one
it whispers through leaves
brushing in a beautiful choir
wind embraces once again.

No, you're not getting out
of this knowing yet again,
as you feel the small river
splash at you playfully.

You smile with the moon.
