Sapphire blues glisten in tandem
and quiet frostbitten shadows dance
while enchanted by the moon's light
seeking their once child-like innocence
I quiver in the knowing of the sun
it's inevitably to become non-existent
wondering if it watches the world
understanding our eventual similar end
Is the ocean and it's untamed nature
just its own version of a wild tantrum
raising uncontrollable waves with ferocity
saying it refuses to be taken as a prisoner
Does a sunrise know a moment will come
when it will have a last day to share
one more beautiful portrait of colors
and will the setting of it be like fireworks
Whether it be in the near coming future
or for us lifetimes and light-years away
eventually time itself becomes elusive
so look up at the stars with reverent awe

What a beautifully serene yet also wild poem. I especially love the line “Does a sunrise know a moment will come when it will have a last day to share one more beautiful portrait of colors”. Well done on the imagery.
Does a sunrise know a moment will come when it will have a last day to share - lovely...great question. Great pic.
Wonderful words and the picture and first line drew me in
