Is Anybody Listening?

Is anybody listening?

To anything or anyone

Or is everyone just caught up

In the roar of their own delusions

Fueled by egoistic agendas

Designed for self-glorification

Rendering them deaf to eternal verities

Is anybody listening?

Is anybody reading?

The truths written down in ancient texts

Memorialized with ink and paper

Knowledge gleaned from time immortal

Sent from the above to guide

And teach mankind

The art of humanity

Is anybody reading?

Is anyone paying attention?

Alert to the dangerous fate they

Pretend they have control over

With their self-assured hubris of invincibility

Against powers they have no concept of

While believing they know and understand

With feeble human arrogance

That they know more than the Divine

Is anybody paying attention?
