Streams

A Poem

By C. J. PharezPublished about 16 hours ago 1 min read

Oh! What feckless hate!

What reckless danger

All in a rage

Still dancing in the rain

Yet,

As hot liquid pours through my veins,

And exits like water through my eyes

I stare up at the clouded empty skies

Slowly realizing that the deafening sound of quiet angst isn’t quite so silent among these pages daring me to scream

Goading for my dive into this dangerous stream

Pressuring my head below the waves

Forcing me to breathe, forcing my lungs to bleed the toxins of my current mind state as the bile rises in my throat

Below it’s bitterness, there lies a sweet note

And I savor the pure fresh taste of the streams freedom, longing for more as I drown in its sweet bliss, allowing for its embrace to swallow me whole and then birth me anew

My soul bursts with new flame that this water can only ever renew

This dangerous stream

That once cause me to scream

Now becomes my life source

Oh such gentle force,

So powerful like a hurricane ripping walls from doors

And so it’s restless waves guide me now to peaceful shores
