In The Heart of The Countryside

Let the birds fly over the silence and stillness of the countryside,
Over the ploughed fields and cultivated crops stretched far and wide,
Over a little village formed of huts and mud, quaint and serene,
To learn about the two characters, one story, on the pages of green.
It's a tale of ours, wealthily poor yet heartily happy and contented pair,
Who don’t have luscious foods to eat or costly garments to wear,
Who don’t whimper when the frazzling efforts of seasons crumple,
Or who don’t celebrate when the appeasing rewards of seasons double.

Our small cottage stands with wooden poles and walls of rusted tin,
That’s our little haven, which reflects in our retinas as a perfect scene.
That’s our little park where we rest, laugh, love, and grow,
And stay for the whole year long to observe the seasons come and go.
We till and water our garden in heart, preparing for sentiments to bloom,
And share our craziest dreams and simple meals in a congested yet cozy room,
With the warmth of a ripped blanket and fire crackling in the hearth,
And share the secrets and stories of our lives remembered after birth.

Every morning, we wake up to the song and sound of chirping birds,
And yawn with drowsy heads, walking through the fields with grazing herds.
We feel the air brushing our tainted faces and stare up into the boundless skies,
To feel the energy anew, to see the magic in blue, as we did see and feel in each other’s eyes.
We often take long walks along the abandoned path with weeds and puddles,
And greet our neighbors with friendly refrains, “hello, aunties and hi, uncles.”
For a bird that soars over this tiny page, life and its story may seem slow,
But it’s in this village where I live with my wife, where our hearts truly glow.

Living in the countryside, surrounded by the natural beauty of rolling hills, lush green fields, and the soothing sounds of nature, is a truly enriching experience. The tranquil pace of life, the sense of community, and the fresh air that we breathe in every day all contribute to a sense of inner peace that can be hard to find in the hustle and bustle of the urban city. And what’s even more special is sharing this life with a dear love. The quiet moments shared with a partner, walking hand in hand through the fields or watching the sunset together, create an unbreakable bond that is strengthened by the simplicity of rural living. In the countryside, there is time to connect with each other on a deeper level, to appreciate life’s simple pleasures, and to nurture a love that will stand the test of time.
