In the depths of my heart

Hoping someday I'll find the light that shines.

Hoping

In the depths of my heart, a sadness resides,

A heavy weight that never subsides.

It lingers there, a constant ache,

Reminding me of all the mistakes I can't shake.

Each day, I put on a brave face,

Hiding the tears I long to embrace.

But they threaten to spill at every turn,

A reminder of the pain I try to unlearn.

I long for a glimmer of hope,

A way to break free from this endless rope.

But the darkness engulfs me like a cloak,

Leaving me with nothing but a heart that's broke.

The world keeps turning, but I'm stuck in time,

Lost in memories that refuse to unwind.

And so I wander, lost and alone,

Longing for a way to find my way back home.

But the road ahead is long and steep,

And my heart is weary from the secrets it keeps.

So I'll trudge on, one step at a time,

Hoping someday I'll find the light that shines.
